  My friend and I booked a night away for a girls trip. Whilst our check in wasn’t till later in the day, the beautiful receptionist Sam found a way for us to check in earlier so that we didn’t have to get ready for an event in a public restroom. Sam is the definition of amazing customer service, and I have never experienced that care ever in hospitality.
  The room was very clean and the views were picturesque.
  We will be back in the near future and have already recommended that our friends stay there when visiting Macedon. Thank you again Sam for everything and for making our girls trip one to remember xx

  Room is spacious with a big SPA. Breakfast is delicious, the only thing I did not quite understand is we were not allowed to sit near the ceiling-to-floor window because "those tables were being set up for lunch". But it was 9:17am!!

  We stayed just one night at the Macedon Ranges Spa Hotel- we were very impressed with the room. Light and airy and huge! Lovely views of Mount Macedon and the ranges. We had a room with a fabulous bathroom which was fully equipped- hairdryer etc.
  The hotel has a restaurant on site - The Wine Room . This has an extensive wine list and a good menu.
  Lovely hotel to stay at.

  DO NOT STAY HERE. 0/5
  My partner and I chose to stay here for both our birthdays... we booked in the room, massages and breakfast! I spoke to David over the phone to book.
  - the fire place in the room was not working!
  - the spa had a broken part!
  - the massages were less than average for 125 per person!
  - the breakfast didn't even include coffee!
  - the pool wasn't working
  - the room was cleaned with so much bleech it smelt.
  - the bathroom door didn't close properly
  - the list of things that were not quite right goes on....
  I called David to let him know all of this. He seemed to be offended I was even telling him. In fact he said he would call me back and never did. I followed up and he still didn't call me back.
  I will not be recommending this place and letting every know what a bad experience it was.
  David if you're reading this I am still waiting for my complaint to be properly managed...

  I stayed in one of the two Executive Rooms, which is unfortunately designed to sit on the ground floor with the second Executive Room above it. (This information is not given to guests at any time.) Being on the ground floor, I could hear doors opening and closing, bathroom and cupboard doors sliding, the noise of the spa and also toileting from the room above.
  
  At the time of my arrival, Reception was closed with only an Emergency Number to contact. I didn't think it was an emergency so I emailed the hotel to request either another room or a refund (partial). The hotel didn't respond to my email until 40 hours later - on a Monday afternoon - well after I had checked out and it was past a time they could do anything.
  
  The owner David, has put the onus back on me saying that it is just bad luck and my issue if I wasn't happy with my experience - that I should have contacted Reception on the Sunday morning (I didn't know they were open - I was told over the phone that no staff would be available until Monday morning) and he is unable and unwilling to provide any solution. At a cost of $700 for two nights I am not satisfied with this response.
  
  Positives:- room was clean, heating and cooling were functional and the temperature was comfortable.
  
  Negatives - bathroom smelled terribly of bleach, restaurant was closed (not advised of this prior my stay), take your own shampoo/conditioner because you can't get the stuff out of the bottles here, very isolated if you need any help, not to mention the lack of good communication and customer service. Be very sure you know what you are booking before you book it.
  
  I would not stay here again and would not recommend it.
